    Default Override: extra_datafiles & extra_configures

    Hi, Zenners...

I've been religious about using Zen Cart's override system, but have run into a snag...

A mod I want to deploy contains the folders extra_datafiles and extra_configures. Other than placing the content of these folders in the respective root /includes folders, I see no support for incorporating them into a custom template override structure.

In all the override documentation in the FAQ and elsewhere, there is a provision for incorporating extra_definitions into a custom template override, but nothing regarding overriding the two folders I mentioned above (looks like there is also an includes/extra_cart_actions folder that's not included in the override system either, but that doesn't affect me at the moment).

I was really hoping to keep the directory structure clean in my test environment so that I only had to worry about my override content, once it came time to move to production.

Any thoughts or way around this?

    Thanks,
    -DBB1

    Default Re: Override: extra_datafiles & extra_configures

There is no per-template override support in the extra_datafiles and extra_configures folders.
You simply stuff the new files into those folders as instructed.

Keep in mind that almost always the changes for those folders are NOT unique to a particular *template*, but rather they're applicable to the entire site, and thus making per-template overrides would be less relevant.
Yes, i realize that this means you can't just "pick all the "mytemplate" folders" and relocate them. Sorry.
