Default Change Quantity text boxes to dropdowns?

New here, have searched for this, but can't find another thread on this topic. Appreciate all the info I have received thus far.

As title says, I am wanting to change the text boxes for quantity of product to dropdown menus. I believe this will allow my customers to avoid mistypes and such.

    Anyone ever done this?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the link kobra.

I haved looked through the option name, option value, and attributes controller menus, and while I was greatly confused at first, I think I have begun to figure them out.

However, the price text boxes are there by default. How do I remove them? Let me start there, and I will then figure out how to replace them with dropdown boxes.

    Thanks

For them to be displayed you have added them as attributes...
For the products where thet appear - using the admin - attributes controllwe - remove/delete them

    kobra,

I really appreciate your replies. I think we may be getting our wires crossed, though.

Here is the page I am talking about. (Just beginning this site, the reason for only a few test products).

I simply installed ZC, added a template, and haven't added any attributes. It isn't the end of the world if I can't add what I want, or, as I am looking at the attributes and don't really understand them well, if I am going to have to add them one product at a time, I will forget about it, as I will probably have 500-600 products on here.

Hopefully I explained it a little better. I just checked the Attributes page, and there is nothing there.

    Thanks

It sounds like what you want is to change the product listing quantity boxes into a quantity dropdown:

    1
    2
    3
    4
    etc.

There's no mod to do that, so you would need to modify the code. There's a mod here that changes the DOB section of the Create Account page into dropdowns that might give you some ideas. Wont be easy, I don't think.

Normally, attributes are the same for several products
    i.e. color, size, etc

As such you can manually add them to one product and later copy the same ones to another product

BTW - 500-600 is not that many as things go

OK, thanks. Still feeling my way through this site.

Understood that 500-600 isn't that many. What I meant was to spend the time editing each product for something so minute, it wasn't worth my time. Thought there might be an option in admin somewhere I was overlooking.

    Thanks
