shipping options help please

Hi everybody. I need a little help with shipping options.

We are in the USA. We added Canada to ship our products to.

I use "Flat Rate" configured to ship USPS and some UPS options also setup for USA. So what I need is UPS as the ONLY option for Canada.

I cant figure out how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated a bunch.

Create Zone Definitions where one Zone Definition is for your definition of the US and the other is for your definition of the US and Canada ...

Then set the US only zone definition on your US shipping modules and the US and Canada zone definition on UPS ...

Okay I defined a zone for USA and a zone for Canada.
Note: Also using FREE SHIPPING option, $99 or more

In shipping modules:
In Free Shipping - USA zone
In Flat Rate - I listed USA zone and
In UPS - Canada zone.

I tested with a USA customer and got the message "Not currently shipping to your region" So I deleted the USA zone to fix that but this may be root of the problem I don't know.

I created a Canada test customer with a valid postal code.
UPS does NOT appear as a shipping option but Flat Rate and Free Option (if qualified ) do.

The zone definitions have a red dot (not configured) also.

Any ideas?

If you go to Locations / Taxes ... Zones Definitions ... you will see your two Zone Definitions ...

Hit the DETAILS button ... what do you have defined for the details?

For Canada zone you should have:
Country: Canada
Zones: All Zones

For the USA zone you should have:
Country: United States
Zones: All Zones

NOTE: if you do not mean ALL of the US which means all States, DC, Armed Forces, US Islands and Territories ... then you need to define more specifically what you mean ...

There was nothing there under details, hence the red dots. I think I understand what to do now.

I got it all setup now and working fine I think. The missing part was not defining it under "Details" for each shipping option.

One other monster showed up though. The store added Florida sales tax to a customer in Missouri. We are in Colorado so that should'nt have happened.

I used the same logic to create and apply a Colorado USA zone in Taxes - Rates and will check for anymore mishaps.
