checkout problems

wondering if someone can help me.
i tested my checkout as i installed cheque payments, i set up the zone it dident show up with check option in the checkout, but i got this message in the cart

Not Available At This Time
Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.
Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

so i uninstall the zone and cheque payments but still get this if i press checkout button in the cart,
however if i press the paypal button it takes me to paypal ok.

can i remove this button from the checkout if so how
or can i somehow remove this not available message from the checkout.
sorry its so long winded but im so confused as this was not there before, i am using the current version of zen

have you tried setting your shipping and payment zones to 'none' and theck check your checkout
