Website Down - Please help

i installed zencart on my server and the site is being running fine for about a month until today.

we i go to my site i shows the below

There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you.

and when i tried to go to my admin i get the below error.

0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
in:
[select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Zen Cart either cannot find the database (because it is not there) or is having trouble connecting (because the Sever is overloaded).

Your Hoster is the best one to help with either of the above problems.

I contacted my hosting provider and they told me the following:

We have found that the DB for your site became corrupted and we are unable to restore that DB. We ask that you restore/upload the backup you may have for this domain. I do apologize for this inconvenience and please let us know of any other issues.

i have a back up copy of the site and i did upload it to the server, but it is still showing the error page!

i think the DB stays on the server and it can not be backup via FTP therefore it can not be uploaded either! right?

please advise me how to remedy.

How did you attempt to restore your DB backup?

This is normally done via phpMyAdmin which in turn is usually accessed via your cPanel.

I had the same problem, I contacted my server, I reloaded the configure.php file and did install the debug scrip and everything works for me. Your server should be able to reload this file for u if you dont know how.
