I am new to Zen cart and I just installed zen cart into my new hosting server and it's live. when I type my domain name the index of page show up with two files showing 1.cgi-bin and 2. Index of /zen-cart-v1.3.9d-full-fileset-06032010/ what do I need to do to fix this so my correct web page shows up when my domain name is entered into a web browser. HELP.

This indicates that you only uploaded the full file set but you did not actually install it.

The docs folder within the package contains clear installation instructions. Take some time to read through these instructions.

I went thru the installation where it ask for localhost, db name, etc. that's the self installer. I got intouch with my isp and they told me that I need to upload the correct index.php which I uploaded the index.php in the zcintall folder and I get this error.

You need to check whether you uploaded all the files. Take a look and see if the file exists.. includes/application_top.php.

If it exists, then check your permissions as I think this is probably the problem.

My isp is telling me that the index.php file I uploaded from zc_install is not working they did a trial with a index.php file they made up and it worked fine. Did I even upload the correct file from zc_install to my root or is there another index.php file that needs to added here instead.

Check you uploaded only the contents of the unzipped folder "zen-cart-v1.3.9d-full-fileset-06032010" to the root of your website.
