I'm trying to put images to the left and right of my slideshow

Now that my slideshow is working on the main page, I'm trying to tweak it. I want my slideshow in the middle of the main page with a static image to the left and to the right of it.

Can someone help me with the coding to do this. I've searched this morning trying to find if someone else has tried to do something similar, but haven't had any luck.

The picture below shows what I'm trying to accomplish.

I did a workaround for this. I decided I just wanted text to the right of the slideshow image with a different size and font, so I went to Photoshop, made a background, typed the info I wanted on it, sized it and saved it as a jpeg. Then I used html coding to insert it to the right of my slideshow. Not the correct way, but it was the only way I knew to make it work.
