When you set up the option NAME for your intended upload feature, choose FILE from the dropdown selector to indicate what kind of option is being offered to the shopper.
FILE enables an upload attribute to be appended to a product.

That's great news guys, thanks a mil!
On a different note - do I have to create all the categories before I can upload products to them? Or if I upload products into a category that doesn't already exist will it automatically create that category / subcategory? There are a LOT of categories in this guys store...![]()
Far as I know, you have to have the categories created already. Check out the Easy Populate mod.
Easy Populate is the fastest way of doing bulk uploads where there are lots of categories and lots of products.
Bear in mind that you CANNOT have categories and products existing at the same LEVEL in the database.
So the short answer to your question is that you FIRST need categories... and then you add products.
Easy Populate will do both at the same time - if the TXT file is in good order.
Install Easy Populate 1.2.5.4 (later versions are a bit shaky).
