I do wonder if the duplicates you were seeing earlier might also be a result of the same freezing problem happening for those customers at that time.
I wonder if they can tell you anything more about their experience?

The customer who got the problem this morning did mention the browser freeze, and then being kicked out from the store. It seems like my experience this afternoon. However, when I tried this morning right after Igot the customer's messege, it was ok for me (when it was still IPN, not express checkout. But now I am using express checkout and I got this problem. )

Weird thing...

I tried this afternoon using my credit card. After I click the "Pay Now", it froze again. I thought it's gonna fail again, but almost 1 minute later, my store show up. It FINALLY starts working. Then I tried the express checkout with PayPal using my personal paypal account, it went fast without any problems.

I really have no idea how and why. My best guess is in the last 24 hours there was something wrong between my hosting server and PayPal, possibly some sort of traffic jam? But finally someone on either/both sides fix it?????

Anyway, now it works. But I will keep an eye on it. If same thing happen, I shall report to the forum.

Yay! Must have just been something amuck with the server or PayPal. Quite unusual in my experience.
