    Default 3D Secure and Maestro Issues

    Hi all,

    We have just upgraded our Zen Cart site from 1.3.8a to the latest 1.3.9d. It all seems to have gone fine, and the version information in the Administration say that both the software and the database are 1.3.9d.

    As far as I can tell, everything has since been configured correctly, but when doing a purchase with my own bank card, I was never presented with the Vbv 3D Secure screens. It appears like the 3D Secure aspects aren't being displayed at all. The payment still came through however. Could this be a configuration problem or an upgrading problem?

    Also, when attempting to pay with a Maestro card, I get the "Field format error: 12000" error. I have read online about a possible fix to the paypaldp.php file which yields no results.

    I have attached a screenshot.

    I hope someone will be able to offer some advice and help me out of this sticky situation!

    Did you provide your Cardinal credentials in the module settings?

    Hi, yes we filled the Cardinal Processor ID, Cardinal Merchant ID
    and Cardinal Transaction password.

    We have FMF set to no.

    I've just noticed that the email address I entered (copied directly from the preferences on the cardinal site) has commas in instead of "." I corrected this, and still got the error.

    I have just had an email stating -

    Cardinal Centinel -
    cmpi_lookup error - 4243 - Account Configuration Problem with Cardinal
    Centinel. Please contact your Cardinal representative immediately on
    [email protected] and inform them that you are getting Error
    Number 4243 when attempting to use 3D Secure with your Zen Cart site and
    PayPal account and that you need to have the Processor Module enabled in
    your account. Your transactions will not be protected by chargeback
    liability until this problem is resolved.


    Looks like it's a problem on their end?

    Correct. Follow those instructions. Your Cardinal account isn't ready to use PayPal and Zen Cart yet.


    Also, v1.3.9e contains some important fixes to Maestro card support.
