One problem for small images is resolved, the solution is below, I think
"Please check the rights of large and medium folder in images directory, these should be 0777."

Ah good news!
Glad someone finally worked out the issue!.
I have had a slight change of plan. Now using the Magic Zoom Plus add on and its looking great!!!!!!
The site is still being developed but am really please with how its looking.
