    help question Error-message - total ammount differs

    Hi
    I am installing a new module in my webshop. Its a module produced by dibs.dk. Its a module that lets customers choose to pay by bill (the name is PayByBill).

    Its all installed, but when the test-person from DIBS tries to run a test-order he gets this error message in their systmes:
    Error code: nordicinvoice.ui.error.total_amount_differs_in_order_details
    Error message: total amount calculated from structured order information and amount parameter differs, but should be the same.


    What can this be?

    I doubt if anyone here will be able to troubleshoot that add-on module. What do the people you bought it from say that error means ?

    Thats the problem, its to hard to me to explain.. But he said something like this, that zen-cart sends two info-capsules (or something), I think it was xml. And the "amount" in those two differs, so then I get a error...

    You might ask him to email you the explanation so you can post it here. That way DrByte or someone might be able to figure it out.

    I got him to write it to me in english, and here we go:
    The reason why payment with PayByBill doesn’t work is that the amount in the amount parameter and amount in structured order information differs. See error code;

    Error code: nordicinvoice.ui.error.total_amount_differs_in_order_details
    Error message: total amount calculated from structured order information and amount parameter differs, but should be the same.

    Can anyone figure this out? Can someone please tell me where I should look? I am thinking that it might have something to do with taxes?

    This is actually an error introduced with Zen-Cart 1.3.9g - because every version from 1.3.7 and up to 1.3.9e or f version is okei, and the DIBS module (also with PaybyBill/Paybill) is 100% functional. But something happened with the g version as I said. The DIBS module is no longer working since it will return an MD5-key error (as there are two MD5-keys based on amount amongst others, will decided if the payable amount is manipulated or not) - and this leads to an error because the amount from the Zen-Cart store seems okei at checkout i.e. 99USD or 99NOK, but the amount transferred to the payment processor is almost always with decimals like 99.40 or 99.20 or whatever - trigging the errors as you describe and as I experience. I'm not qualified to tell if this is happening with the amount before or after tax, but something tells me that this could be tax calculation or shipping+tax calculation. I have tried every setting possible, including 2 decimals in the checkout amount, with no luck.

    I'm willing to test appropriate settings or hacks in locating this error and getting it fixed.

    I guess that the eminent DrByte or someone like him is the right person(s) to get this sorted out :-)
