Hi all,

I have 1.3.9d installed.

I am noticing this problem when I add description to my products and click on update I notice a lot of the blank spaces and the " or ' change to a question mark ?

I have to go through so many of the description and delete that!
Very annoying and time consuming.

Anyone encountered this problem and know what it is?
It never happened before?

Is it from Zen-Cart or my Hosting Company?

Seems to me unlikely that it's either and more about how you are adding these descriptions. Could you explain with some detail how you are going about doing that?

Thank you for your reply.

I am typing the text on my Windows Notepad than copying and pasting the text to the product description.

I did a while back have another problem with zen-cart product description when I updated my description adn clicked on ok than click on the (back) button I was getting the (/) which has now been fixed and I'm wondering if this problem is from that? I have of course updated to the latest 1.3.9e.

Are you pasting it into an HTML Editor using plain text? Are you sure you're using Notepad and not WordPad?

I am using Notepad.

Yes, I copy the plain text into the zen-cart admin product description which has html as the editing option.

When I do that, it seems fine, I than click on ok and update the description, than I go to the store and checkout the product and notice the ? in parts of the descripton which seems to be around the blank spaces and the special characters.

Doesn't seem to be that way on all the products.

Also, I check some products that I have not touched in a while and they have the funy charachters such as (?) and an (Ä).
