1.3.9e product search in Admin not working for me

Hi All,

Got a problem with the search in the products section on the admin side.

Say for example i searched for bed it wont find it although there may be about a hundred there.

Can someone please help if possible.

I had the same problem up until a couple hours ago. What I found was that if I entered my products manually the admin-catalog search was fine. But once I used Easy Populate to load the products to the catalog, the search didn't work.

The solution that worked for me was to go to Tools->Store Manager and run "Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID".

This fixed my problem. Hope it helps with yours.

Thanks for the update on what worked for you ...

Often on imports the master_categories_id and the products_price_sorter fields are not setup properly ...

On the Tools ... Store Manager you will see two settings to fix this ...

NOTE: if you used Linked Products using the Reset on the Master Categories ID may or may not work for you as it will pull the first categories_id it finds in numeric order from the database table ...

Always run the Update Products Price Sorter, after the Rest of the Master Categories ID ...
