Remove signup

I would like to asign customers a user name and password manually and not allow users automatically sign up, is this possibe, I want to remove the

"New? Please Provide Your Billing Information" and design my own signup page because I have discovered I need different info from clients then ZC allows.

You will have to custom code this
Also add your custom info to the form and the database
Not impossible but it is your call as to the amount of work involved and the benefit
