UPSxml Shipping module in the EU - Anyone?

I am trying to install the UPSxml shipping module for an european site. The module is working - after a lot of hassle - but it keeps giving the wrong prices!

Is there anyone out there who are using this module and has it working? In that case, how do you do it? The module seems to be last modified in 2006. There HAS to have been changes after that, or what?

Please, I am totally lost here, please, please help...

Seems that I managed to get in contact with the person who wrote this module in the end. He could tell me that he doesn't support it any more, nor does he know anyone else who does. For all intents and purposes therefore, it looks like this module is dead. Too bad, because the idea is good, had it only worked correctly. The way it is now, apparently workiing but giving prices that are totally off, it is not exactly good for business.
