Attributes to update qty?

Is there a way to have the attributes update the qty ( stock ) of similar items.

For instance we have multiple flavors of items but of the same type. We have set the attributes to designate the flavors but the quantities are different and it appears that the quantity would only be adjusted if there were a product for each flavor ( which doesn't help us define attributes )

Yes I have installed it. However this still only allows us to put 1 variable in per product.

Here is the Goal: ( this is what would display on web site )

Bad Stuff ( one flavor )

Good Stuff ( comes in multiple flavors )
-Flavor 1 ( 1 in stock )
-Flavor 2 ( 2 in stock )
-Flavor 3 ( 3 in stock )

Great Stuff (one flavor)

our current model is displayed this way:

Bad Stuff
Good Stuff [flavor 1]
Good Stuff [flavor 2]
Good Stuff [flavor 3]
Great Stuff

This lends itself to having a customer scroll through multiple of similar products to find the flavor they want.

We only want to display one single product type for "Good Stuff" and when the customer selects it they can choose what flavor they want and that will decrease the inventory. I thought this what Stock by attributes did.

So the customer would see Good Stuff and then when selected, they could chose flavor 1, 2 or 3 and the would update our stock.

I might be confused here but it seems like this what should be happening.
