Blank Screen When Logging into Admin

Zen-Cart 1.38a

When I try to pull up my admin entry page its a blank white page.

I have reinstalled a backup but it's still doing it.

I know I did something, but I am not exactly sure what. Can someone give me a little assistance figuring out this error?

Actually that did not solve it, or change the errors. I also installed a fresh copy of ZC and made sure it was up and working fine. Then copied the configs to it and it does the same thing. Is it possible there is something in the DB causing it?

I guess I should mark that I am finding a lot of files with extra space after the '?>' is there any reason why these appear after a re-upload of the site? And is there a quick fix to check all files?

OK, I think I may have discovered an issue.

When you unzip a backed up file it seems to put two spaces at the end of EVERY file. Not sure why. But I am having to fix every file and re-upload and hoping that solves it across the board.
