I have free shipping selected in my admin panel, for orders over £250 to be shipped for free but it isn't working. no matter how much the order is for the flat rate shipping fee is always added.

If you are using the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping for this ... be sure that you have not only set the amount to 250 but that you enabled it ...
By default, it is set to 50 but also is disabled ...Linda McGrath
