    Default Best Source For Templates?

Just recently purchased a template from template monster, but want to confirm before final install that its ok to use.

Have run the template on a test install with 1.3.9d and everything seems to work ok,but if anyone has reasons why not to proceed with them, please let me know, and also recommend a better source if any

    thanks in advance

Generally, TM templates work OK until you try to modify them in any way. Their non-standard way of coding changes makes editing the template nearly impossible, and you'll probably not be able to get much help here, since we don't have access to the non-template files they've changed. You won't find many people here who recommend them.

Most of the store-bought templates for Zencart come, one way or the other, from TM, mostly through resellers.

The 'better source' I would recommend is your own creativity. It isn't that difficult to learn to style Zencart, and you'll save $160 or more.

It's my belief that website appearance is overrated anyway, as long as it's not cluttered and the design doesn't get in the way of the functionality.

That's my point - you don't need a 'coder'. I don't know any programming languages save HTML and CSS and do fairly well styling Zencart.

There are free templates available for Zen Cart which may give you a head start on what you'd like to do. You can see them at http://(sorry, site offline)/. Use the pull down menu to change templates and see what they'll look like on a website.
