Default Moving (Padding) Main Center Content?

I've tried just about everything to move my site's main center content over to the right a little bit, since my site isn't using right sideboxes.

I can move the breadcrumb navbar over, but I want the main content to go with it.

And while I'm here, I might as well ask how to align the breadcrumb nav bar with the top of my sidebox header, which will most likely mean moving the main content down a little bit, as well as to the right.

    Heres a screenie:

Thanks again. Sorry for crowding the forum. ):

try turning off your right side box , by going to
configuration > layout settings > Column Right Status - Global
    and set to 0

this should move ( stretch ) center box ..

    Great success! It worked!

Now all I need is the breadcrumb nav bar lined up with my 'Categories' sidebox header:

Now I could just move the breadcrumb nav bar down, but I also want to move the main content down with it as well.

So I managed to move down the main content below the breadcrumb nav bar just fine, but now the problem is moving the breadcrumb nav bar down.

Everytime I try to add a "padding" or "padding-top" attribute to "#navBreadCrumb", it ends up just adding more space to the bar, rather than moving it.

    Thanks again.

we can not see the site . so best is to install firebug extension for Firefox and use that tool to find the correct css location to adjust your page elements.

Theres a screenshot, thats all I can give you.
And I already installed Web Developer extension for Firefox and it tells me that the div for the breadcrumb nav bar is #NavBreadCrumb, but everytime I try to add an attribute to #NavBreadCrumb, it doesnt 'move' it, it ends up just adding more space to it.

padding adds space . use margin to move it

    Tried.

"Margin" has no effect, at all. I even commented it out just to see if it made a difference... none.

What I ended up doing was using padding to get it to where I wanted it, then created a custom background image using transparency for all the space I didn't use.

It worked, but even though you can't see it, I still think its "messy" and will bug me for a long time, but meh.

    Heres what I did:
