One product database?

Hi, we're going to be cloning our store soon and rolling out copies of it in other countries. (each installation will be run by different people) But the hosting etc will all be under one account and housed by us.

My question is; is there a way to share the product portion of the database amongst multiple Zen Cart installations?

Or am i interefering with the core logic of ZC too much?

I can already see the headache of having to add a new product multiple times to each store.

I know someone is bound to suggest we have one store with mulitple languages/currencies etc, but under our business model, the stores really do need to be seperate.

Am i better off perhaps, doing some sort of SQL update query periodically, that adds all the new products to each other store?
