    Default Lost Zen Cart when publishing new site

    I'm a new user and I'm not all that good with php. I built a "quickie" site for testing using Sitebuilder at Hostgator. Everything worked nicely. While testing I built a better site from scratch. It is almost ready to go, so I set up my links. The links to my Zen Cart don't work. I am using Zen 1.3.9D, PHP 5.2.13, and Linux Cent OS.

    I made sure my Index files were in the right location (same directory as my home page) and put the links in my HTML file using <a href> tags. Do I need to compile my site and Cart together or something?

    Can't figure it out?

    I don't know anything about Sitebuilder, but if your link URL is right, it should work. Can you post a link to the site ?

    Yes. However, the site is not quite finished. I'm new at that, too, and it's displaying a little too small. Still, the links should work. Here is my HTML code:

    <p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:6.0pt'><span style='font-size:5.0pt;
    font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";
    color:#DEDEDE'><INPUT TYPE="image" SRC="images\forgot.jpg"><br><span style='mso-field-code:" HYPERLINK " \0022\0022 "'>
    <a href="http://deliajonesassoc.com/shop/index.php" >
    <INPUT TYPE="image" SRC="images\NotM.jpg"><INPUT TYPE="image" SRC="images\register.jpg"><o></o></span></p>

    The site is deliajonesassoc.com.

    The link is attached to "Not a Member" "Register Here."

    The new site is NOT SiteBuilder. It is from scratch.

    I talked with HostGator support. They say my Zen files are corrupted. Second time. Tell people not to use SiteBuilder!

    I've got to start all over from scratch, again. Wish I could cuss on here! Sure need to vent!

    Here's a tip, once you get to the point where you're adding content: don't copy and paste from a WYSIWYG editor into Zencart files. It looks like you were using MS Word - those types of programs add a lot of styling stuff that can confuse Zencart.

    Thanks for the tip!

    I've pretty well figured it out that the best way is a good old text editor for HTML.

    However, I didn't know it impacted Zen Cart as well!

    I promise to swear-off the easy way!
