Default Yet another Attirbutes Question, Issue 3456

    Hi Guys

I have been trying to work something out for a few days now and I'm coming up blank. I'm new to ZenCart. I developed an OSC cart a few years back, but since then... no retail jobs for me.

Anyway. I have a client who sells blades for bandsaws. These are usually sold in lengths and the price is dependant on the width. I would prefer to have a product, with a text box for the length where you could type in a number in MM with a radio option for Inches and then a drop down list for the width of the blade and then the software works out the price based on the specific product the customer has selected.

He prices the length in brackets. So 20-50" then 31-60", etc and then each bracket has a separate price dependant on which width is selected, which would be one of 3-4 set widths.

Is this even possible with ZenCart? If so, how on earth do I do it?

length dependant upon width pricing would require dependant attributes"
Neither OSC nor ZenCart has this facility.

You can create items by width with attributes for length

Or by length range with attributes for width

    But not in combination

Thanks. That's a shame that it's not a feature of these open source shopping carts. But I guess I can't grumble because it's free! I know of a competitor site which does what I require, but they are using a commercial solution PDG Commerce

I think my client should be happy with price range with width attribute. Otherwise I may lose this one
