Adding images to the footer and sideboxes?

how do you add images to the footer and also the side boxes?

Go to your template folder, find the footer.tpl file or variant of that file name, and use simple html image tags such as <img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/imageyouwanttoadd.jpg">

If you want images in a sidebox, download the blank sidebox addon, or staticmenu addon, and again you can put simple html code into this sidebox and show anything you want.
