company detail requirement

I am using v1.3.9d. I need to make company name a requirement like the other info such as address email etc information on my order page or check out page. I want to insure they are a company rather than an end user. How? help? please?

Go to admin/configuration/minimum values and enter a number greater than 0 in "Company.

Then, you can click "Create Account or Log In" and don't fill in anything, just hit the submit button on the bottom. It should list that a Company Name be included.

Just another thought....
I did a similar thing a while ago.
In addition to the post above me, you may want to ask customers to fax over business tax number or even just a business card. This will also help you in deciding who to charge tax or not.

Without that anyone can type in xyz Inc. and be done with it.
