My site sells jars of products that come in two sizes and two heat levels. In attributs I have set the product default to purchase as the size and heat level most would purchase, ie, full size and hot and it is of course the higher price. The smaller product is the lower price but in most cases is not what the regular customer would purchase. So, (wishful thinking) I want the price of the product to be the attribute. The heat level doesn't change the price (yet). So, the base price on the product pages becomes essentially 0 with the attribute actually setting the price. (except for those who don't have attributes, of course.)
My difficulties are:
1. I would prefer that the higher priced attribute be the default displayed.
2. With the attribute price AS the price of the item, ie, the attribute, the page tab announces that the product is free. I want to turn that off.
3. On the product page I want the price to show as the attribute price only without the price sign and brackets.
Am I thinking about how I want the products to price and display, but I'm a total noob from a coding stance, so if I've thunk this incorrectly, and there is a more obvious way to put the attributes on then, let me know.
Any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
The site and an example of the product is live here: http://www.peppermaster.com/products...as?cPath=67_77
