html Emails Using MailBeez

Hi Guys and Girls,

I have installed MailBeez email software and it is working how it should apart from one thing I am unable to get it to send emails in html format. It sends out the emails but only in text format.

I can view in html format in the admin panel but when the email is sent out it only does it in plain text format.

Note that I have html set in admin panel for email format in the config panel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bruce

I had the same problem.....but after sending a test email to my hotmail account I worked out that it was only sending text fromat emails to the email adress I set in the admin. Try sending a test email to another address and see if that works.....

hi all,

zencart does a reverse-look-up using the email address to find out which format to use.

so try to set up a test-customer with html as email format and send a test run to that email address.

should work - does at my zencart

Thanks for you help solving the problem that I had with the emails. It appears that I should have had a look at the customer settings because if they have set to text it will only send the emails in text format but I really prefer the html because of how it looks.

Is it possible to override what the customer settings are in order to send out html format emails?

you would need to modify the zen-cart core function for sending emails to override this.
(while developing mailbeez I digged through the code to understand what happens)
