I know that with the discount coupon module we can issue a discount to a particular person - but how about a global promo code? Like say the word "TAGGING" does takes 15% off the top of the shopping cart for anyone that puts that in? Can that be done?

Coupons are designed to work in exactly the way you're asking for. Could you be more specific about what's stopping you from using them that way?

Is there a way to create coupons based on number of items purchased. Example, buy one get second 10% off, buy two get third 15% of...etc... Or buy two get 10% off total purchase, buy three get 15% off total...etc.

BTW, as you know I'm new, and I'm responding to this post because I haven't figured out how to create a new post...duh... Can someone help with that as well?
