Can Customer Authorization:Hide be avaliable when visiting site

Hello All!

I was just wondering something:

I noticed that in the admin, you can customize what parts of the page can be viewed while customers wait for their account to be authorized such as the footer, header, side boxes, prices etc.

Can something like that be applied for when someone visits the site?

Example:

Visiting www.mysite.com

Then we can turn off the header which is where my categories are listed so they can visit terms and conditions, privacy notice and whatever else is in the footer and see the homepage.

Right now, my option is to have "must be logged in to browse" but that is not allowing potential customers to see what we can offer which can be viewed in the pages stated above.

I have been reading into modding the /includes/init_includes/init_customer_auth.php and tpl_main_page.php.

However, if there is an alternative I would like to know more about it.

You start out stating

Can you outline exactly what it is you want them to be able to see and what it is you do not want them to be able to see??

hey!

alright, the "must be logged in to browse" option always redirects to the create an account page. They can't click on terms to see what our terms are if they want to purchase. They can't click on anything except for contact us.

our homepage outlines the services we provide and a company mission statement etc. but you can't see that when you have the must be logged in to browse option on. I just stays on create an account.

I just want to hide the header so they can't have access to my categories to view my products. Even if there is a "don't show prices without account", I don't like when anyone can see what products I have designed in case they are copied.

Have a look at the comments and conditions in a copy of

tpl_header.php

I suppose that you are going to require authorization for one to have an account

You can alter the if statement for customer authorization to suit

I actually got an answer to my situation from this thread:

I could just add the name of the pages that they can view under customer approval circumstances. I just added FILENAME_CONDITIONS and 'pages' to allow people to see my EZ pages of about us and services we provide.

The thing im trying to figure out now is adding the index or the homepage to that list.....

alright... so I tried 'index' in the array fields and that somewhat worked... it showed my home page BUT you are able to click on my header categories.


What I am discovering is the EZ-Pages Pages to disable headers

I know you can list the page numbers of the site to for some pages to show the header and some not. I just don't want the EZ Pages Header to show on my home page untill they log in.... How can I do that?
