Upgrade Questions re: Security & Templates

Hi,

General question...

Upgrading to 1.3.9.e and have several templates on my current site (local).

When I do the upgrade - can I use the same templates I already have without having to go through the process of setting up the entire store all over again.

I've looked at the code for my pages and don't see any major issues with security - but I didn't write it << glad for that too!!

Are they ok to use as is or should I copy the important parts - ie. text messages that I have written for my clients - then paste them into the new pages.

What about functionality? Any issues that I should be aware of?
i.e. Replace page X from your old site and use the new version.

Compare your template override files against the files listed in the change log in the distribution doc folder
Merge any that have changes

thanks so much will get to work on it - if I fix on local I assume I just replace the file on my server once I upgrade my current one to 1.3.9.e?

Ok,

After having looked through my folders/setup I can quite clearly say with confidence that I have absolutely no clue about what you are talking about

I think I just found the change log as I was typing this - are they the

changelog-v1-3-8d.html, changelog-v1-3-9e.html in the docs folder?

Not sure what you mean about the templates override files - I went into my overrides and allI see is a index page.
