    Default [Not a bug]1.3.9f and gzip_compression.php

    Okay, I'll bite. What's the procedure with the leftover admin/includes/functions and includes/functions gzip_compression.php files?

    I'm assuming (yes, I know) that they are simply left on a upgrade as I can't see that they are used with the gzip upgrade.

    Could you confirm their non-use please.

    THANX
    John

    John,

    This is from the changelog for 1.3.9f

    Deleted Files (since release of v1.3.9a/b/c/d/e)
    * /admin/includes/functions/gzip_compression.php
    * /includes/functions/gzip_compression.php

    So, I'd assume that it is OK to just delete them.

    Correct. The files are now obsolete after upgrading to/beyond v1.3.9f, and thus can be deleted.

    Seems like I could have scrolled down one more inch.

    Going to go see if they make quadfocals.
