    Default Product Image Sizes

Hi, I've been customising Zen Cart to the look of my store. I've reached the product page, I've got the price and the basket, etc to look and act how I want it to.

But I'm now snookered on the images. I'm trying to have different image sizes but have been lead to believe I can have a small, medium and large - that's all.

Check out my page at: http://www.chichairandbeauty.co.uk/ashleys/0002.html

You should be able to understand from that what it is I'm trying to achieve on a product page.

    Thanks in advance.

Having said that, the effect you want may be the one I am using here

Many thanks for your message. No I haven't uploaded the actual Zen files. Just uploaded the basic HTML page to show as an example of the kind of thing I'm wanting.

I ready somewhere around on the internet that a product page can only hold a small, medium and large image. I would have five different sized graphics.

Incidentally, I've taken a look at your example, that's more or less exactly the sort of thing I'm after. Nice website, well branded.

Zencart will display product images differently, depending on the context. there are many "areas" on the zencart site where product inages are displayed, and each area can be configured to render the product image(s) at different sizes.

Generally, there is ONE main product image. Additional images can be added, and zencart has a clever way of identifying these additional images.

There is nothing stopping you from creating <img src> paths in the HTML of your product descriptions - where you can specify whatever dimensions you like. The only drawback is that adding images in this manner is a manual exercise.

There are a lot of image manipulation tools available - some free, some commercial.

If I were you, I'd just focus on getting zencart up-and-running so you can play around with all the options.

It is impossible to determine ZC behaviour in your current site - which is not ZC.

Thanks for your message. I've pretty much set up my store, I've got the price and descriptions in the places I want them. I just need to get the images functioning before going live. But still snookered as to how this can be achieved. The image sizes are as follows:

    782px x 115px
    234px x 325px
    259px x 236px
    80px x 80px
    585px x 813px (displays on rollover)

By putting <img src> in my description, that would display the images in the description I think, whereas I need set placeholders.
