Restored Data in New Database but not showing

Hi there

As part of upgrading I've:
a) created a new (blank) database;
b) restored the backup of my old database into it;
c) uploaded 1.3.9;
d) installed 1.3.9.

The problem is the data in the database is not showing up in Zen. If I use phpAdmin I can see that the data is there by the number of records.

Can anyone help me by explaining where I have gone wrong and how to fix this?

You've likely got the wrong table-prefixes set in your configure.php file, so it's looking in the wrong set of tables.
Look at the DB_PREFIX from your live site's configure.php files, and put that same value into your new/test site's configure.php files.

If this is the order you completed steps in then that is the incorrect order - -
You shouls install 1.3.9 firstas step "b"
Then after installed restore your current DB to it
Then re-run zc_install to upgrade the DB Only
