Email problems

Hi,

My sites email address is not working i set up a test customer obviously under my name etc once checkout i received the paypal receipt on the stores email however never received one for myself/test customer.

Also when i send email to the test customer or the test customer trys to send email to me it doesn't go through i.e on the contact us page.

Any solution to the above,thanks guys,pringle.

Need more info on your email system or if you are using another system such as gmail or yahoo mail as your email address

using hotmail for my webstore

and for the test customer its an aol address

Using another email system usulaay requires that you select the appropriate "SMTP method" for them and also fill out the SMTP details in the options area

Using hotmail or any other does not appear too professional

Whay ar you not using XXX@yourdomain as your address

So how would i do this,obviously my email address/store one is an hotmail email.

As I do not use hotmail I am not familiar with them but their site should have that info

Thanks for the help guys,i actually created an email address from my server panel today then added this to my shop admin panel in > email options all is working superbly now.

Glad you got it going. It's always more professional for an e-mail to come from your domain.
