image position within product listing

I'm trying to move the image within an individual product description from the left (the default) to the right.

From within the admin 'all Listing', I can see:
Display Product Image 1102

If I change the first '1' to a '2' I assumed the image would now be to the right, but nothing seems to happen?

You also then need to move some of the others that are "2's" to "1" to make it look ordered

Not sure what you mean by having to change others, as I'm only trying to change the position of the image within a single product listing.

That works in a default cart template - maybe yours has altered this

Sorry i did not explain it well. I want to make the change within all the product descriptions, but don't want to change the image position for the list of products.

Thank you, I will play around a bit more, see if i can get that setting working. At least I know now that I'm playing with the right setting, as it can be confusing sometimes to know which one it's referring to

In effect what your saying is that you wish to move the image to the right on the actual product page not on the page where it is listed with all the others in it's category?

If you want the image on the individual product page to move, you are looking in completely the wrong place. The first thing I would suggest is to find in your /includes/templates/your_template/css/stylesheet.css the #productMainImage {} rule (if not already there, add it) and change or add float: left; to float: right;

You may have some different names or elements depending on your template, so a link to see your site will enable accurate advice.

gjh42, You are right, float: left; to float: right; works perfectly fine. However I am looking in to the moving image on the top to avoid "white space". Again left and right are working just fine. Does anyone know how to move image on the top above description.

Your description does not sufficiently illustrate how your current layout is working. Seeing your site and a mockup of what you want will enable us to help you effectively.

Thank you for responding. Currently we are testing ZC on off line /localhost, and so far it looks great. This is really not a problem question but more customizing issue. Most of our images will be bigger in width then height, so we trying to insert product image _MED on the top or above description, because if we insert on the left or right side product description on the opposite side kind of look funny. The perfect situation for us will be to place product image on the top or above description, but code in /includes/templates/your_template/css/stylesheet.css under #productMainImage will work only with float: left; or float: right. Example if we change to float: top; it will go on the left side. Do you know any coding trick that may help us.
