    red flag Gift Certificate issue

    Hello,

    I have a customer trying to redeem a $20 gift certificate, which she is applying properly, but the math during checkout is not working properly. I've created a $20 gift certificate for myself to recreate the problem and unfortunately, was able to do so. My website is:

    Could you provide more details such as:

    What version Zen Cart?

    Clean install or an Upgrade?

    What exactly is happening?

    After redeeming, did you enter the GV amount to be applied to the order?

    NOTE: once redeemed, you only need to enter the GV amount to apply based on the available GV Balance ... the GV Balance will appear *after* the GV has been redeemed ... once redeemed, a GV cannot be redeemed again it will show as a GV Balance to apply ...

    Hi

    the version is 1.3.8

    I've had gift certs installed for at least 1 yr and have previously sold 1 (about 10months ago) and it worked fine.

    Here's what's happening:

    I order some products, go to checkout, enter the amount to apply $20 (full amount), go to the final checkout screen before confirming order to see the totals and the math is not correct.

    I could setup a coupon and send it to you so you can try if you want.

    I appreciate your help!!

    There are so many Known Bug Fixes and Security Patches for v1.3.8 ... it could take quite sometime to figure out the problems here ...

    I would recommend an upgrade to v1.3.9f ...

    Short of that, you can go through each of the Known Bug Fixes:

    and see if those help ...

    NOTE: v1.3.9f already has all of this and more built in to the code ...

    Don't forget after doing the upgrade to run through all of the Modules for Shipping, Payment and Order Totals and do a save of the current settings to NotePad then REMOVE, INSTALL and reconfigure ...
