Default Database issue in moving store...

I have a complete site on a test server, installed the same "d" version as on the current server. No matter what instructions I follow, I can't get the test site to see the old database. The fresh install works fine, and the old site is still live, so it works perfectly. I need the test site to be exactly like the live site before I pull the plug on that hosting account. I've made so many tweaks and adjustments, it is impractical to start over again, AND we have 200 or so customers in the old database, not to mention all the product data.

    HELP?!?!?!

Did you skip step 2(a) in the tutorial on that topic? https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100

When I exported the db from our old GoDaddy server, it just gave me a file name that was 1017510012483.sql. My hosting account supports staff tell me the prefix is "zen_".

Is the prefix in your new store the same as the prefix in the old one?

Most likely you're importing a database that used different prefixes, and thus you'll likely have two sets of tables in your new site, and since new site is using a different prefix, it's not seeing the old data from the old tables using the old prefix.
