Coupon Not Applying To RESTRICTED Products

I have set up a discount coupon for 4 products. Under Restrictions, I have denied the coupon from being applied to all categories and allowed the coupon to be applied to only the 4 products.

The coupon works fine when purchasing only 1 of the products, however, when purchasing more than one the discount only is applied once.

Is there a setting that would ensure the coupon is applied multiple times for each product?

How do you have the Discount Coupon setup?

NOTE: Discount Coupons cannot be used on Gift Certificates ... Products with Model numbers starting with: GIFT are tagged as Gift Certificates ...

I have a discount coupon set up for $10 off. No minimum orders amount or free shipping. User per coupon and uses per customer are not set (UNLIMITED).

In restrictions I have the TOP category set to "DENY" and have the 4 products selected and set to "ALLOW" that the coupon will apply to.

I don't use Gift Certificates at all.

I was just checking out the known bug fixes. I will make sure I have applied the security patches and bug fixes and see if that resolves the issue.

I'm looking to upgrade pretty soon as well.

Sorry for bumping the thread, it seems an appropriate place. Using a week-old installation of 1.3.9f, with a few essential extras (Stock by Attributes, creiner's version), Ceon SEO URIs and the SecureTrading payment processing module (from SecureTrading themselves).

I've set up a coupon restricted to just one item, which should provide a discount equivalent to that product - everything else is restricted including the top level category. The only requirement is that a customer spends £20 before the coupon becomes valid, however even with £30 of other items in the basket (plus the item to which the coupon applies) I still see " You must spend at least £20.00 to redeem this coupon". Sometimes, it doesn't even show up, and the coupon doesn't appear to be processed at all (although I'm not discounting my browser for this).

As far as I can see I've set everything up correctly, but it will only let the coupon validate if the top category is set to Allowed (which completely sidesteps the whole point of restrictions, right? ;))

Any insight appreciated.

Ah, I think I see - setting a minimum of £20 would mean someone would have to buy £20 of the particular T-shirt, as it is the only item ALLOWed in the Restrictions, before the discount is applied to it in the checkout?

If that's the case, it sounds like my original aim isn't achievable. Is there any other way to do what I am trying to do - make sure that the customer is only given the discount for one specific product if they spend more than £20 across the entire store?

You would need to customize the code further for that ...

I am not sure if one of the Add Ons can help with this kind of sale or not ...
