Modifying Log-In Page - Will It Create Issues?

I'm working on my second Zen and would like to streamline thee log-in page a bit more. I have the split login page at the moment but want to remove the following fields.

Address Line 2
State/Province

It would make it look a lot faster to register to the customer as there would be less fields to fill out.

However - will removing this cause me problems with card processing and such or are they structured to get their information from the house number and zip/post code?

I just didnt want to go ahead to find I am then missing core information for certain tasks to function properly?

If you have to ship anything why remove state/privince??
You need the address complete with State

To that what if I live in an apartment complex
Line 2 receives my apartment # or if a business in a office suite my suite number

The site is for the United Kingdom - I overlooked the flat/apartment thing - so the second line is a keeper.

I really don't feel I need a state/province or county for the UK though - It's not a huge deal for me - I just was thinking any information not required speeds up the process no matter how small the change....

I've just thought about using an address finder and have seen a UK addon for that - think that might be a good solution.
