Default Using multiple domains on one database?

I am looking to have multiple domains using different zen cart templates but would like them all to link to the same SQL and admin. Is this possible.

I intend to purchase a number of templates that I like from template monster for 5 seperate domain names each being a .com, but I want them all to use the same SQL so that I can keep a track of all sales and stock through the one admin.

Do I need to point the config files to the same sql? and do I need to do anything else?

    It is not that simple

There is a 3rd party module - "multi-site" that many have used with success

Do yourself a favor and search this forum for them and take note of all the issues and possible lost functionality with their templates
Compounded as you will be using several and they will most likely be written by seperate individuals and they have no standard so each will present a different set of issues

Yes. It's very possible. We've done it successfully for clients.

However, what we tend to find is that once we get started all sorts of ways in which the sites need to be different start to emerge and the process becomes much more complicated than it first sounds, and needing of a high degree of technical competence to make it work.

For starters though, you'll need to adjust your base installation to tweak the store-side configure.php file to recognise and perpetuate the different domain names.

Then you'll need tweak the init system to display the appropriate template for each domain.

And you'll also need a multidomain SSL certificate to allow each "store" to have a properly encrypted checkout.
