Subscription Based Purchasing

I have a site where I want users to be able to purchase a monthly subscription.

After they purchase the subscription they get access to 20 downloads. (Just and example amount) All of my products are downloadable that I'll keep identically costing.

After they download the , they get access to a marketplace where they can download individual items. (Being slightly higher priced then the 20 they get for the subscription fee.)

If they don't renew, they lose access to the marketplace and can't buy anything till purchasing a new subscription.

I was thinking make the subscription a "gift card" that allows for 20 free downloads. The only problem with that is I don't know if you can block people from accessing the store unless they've paid the membership.

Is this possible with zen-cart?

Allow me to ask a simpler question.

Because I feel as though I'm overloading everyone when I post...which may be why I've been ignored 3 times so far.

There's a one-time membership mod in Free Software Add Ons. I don't know if it will suit your needs, and I haven't used it, but it might be worth a look.

As for the rest of the stuff in your first post, I'm seeing a lot of custom coding.
