Background image not changing

I am creating a custom template for a site I'm working on. As a new zencart user I am not completely familiar with the system but have decent css and php knowledge.

My problem is this: I inserted a background image into #mainwrapper and all was well. However, I edited the image and uploaded it but the original image still comes up. If I delete the image from the images folder it disappears from the page but no matter what I upload as that image, the original returns. WTF?

***UPDATE*** I found the problem. I had the wrong file path. I had entered it as url ( /images/imagename) when it should have been url ( ../images/imagename)
