Hi

The easiest way to make WAMP work on your home pc is before you install the software, make sure that IIS is disabled and it dosnt start up with WAMP when you start the PC.

Now it may be that you want to run WAMP from your WAMP server (PC) and have an Intranet at home/work then using IIS as well as WAMP may be needed.

To disable IIS do this :GOTO START > CONTROL PANEL > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > SERVICES > IIS ADMIN.

Then click on IIS ADMIN PROPERTIES. From there goto startup type and from the drop menu click on DISABLE.

Then you get out of there and install WAMP. Just restart your PC and you will notice that the wamp icon on the bootom right hand corner goes from red, yellow to white.

Now you know that wamp is running.

To test wamp.... just type http://localhost/ and it will take you to the wamp index page.

If you install Zencart or any php script then it can be done in a folder, example folder a.

So, now your url will look like this ... http://localhost/a/... ok


Your mysql data base will be like this :

Location - localhost
p/w - none...
username - root
