export of customer email addresses

Is there a way to export the email addresses of customers to a text, csv, or some kind of file?

I know I can use the send to customer email function, but I need to be able to accumulate the customer email addresses for a partner who is computer dumb and should not be in the admin section.

I installed this a few days ago. But when I run the function nothing is saved. After an upgrade my folder structure changed, could this be the reason the email addresses aren't saving anywhere? If so, which file do I need to amend to change the path.
