    Default CURL errors

    Hi:

My hosting is GOdaddy. I am using a Linux server and I use Filezilla as FTP program.

When I tried to install zen-cart on my server I got the following errors:

    SYSTEM INSPECTION RESULTS
CURL SSL Capability= CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company.28=> connect() timed out!
CURL NON-SSL Capability via proxy= CURL problems detected: 56=> Received error code 403 from proxy

CURL SSL Capability via Proxy = CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company .28 => SSL connection timed out

I would appreciate any help you can give me to be able to complete my installation.
    Thanks,
    Marlake

Sorry that you are with GD

They use a Proxy for curl and you can ignore this at install but will have to enter the proxy address in your admin > my store > cURL Proxy Address

With GD it is most likely proxy.shr.secureserver.net:3128

But you can check in your account with them to be sure

Search for godaddy on this site - Read - and make your own determination

They are cheap and promise you and everyone else vast amounts of resources that they know no one uses but this is the Mass market hype necessary to get you to sign up...This is all good if you have a site that is not mission critical and mostly for sharing pics with family as they will wait to see them-

And as far as you will be concerned - Your shop will be mission critical to you

Since it is 2 years later and that problem is no longer an issue why I am getting the same error? Any suggestions?

Which "same error"? There were 2 different error messages mentioned in post #1 above, and they were also using a particular hosting company.
What exactly are *your* symptoms/errors, and the circumstances/name of your hosting service?
