Migration from ZenCart to osCommerce

Hey guys. Recently I have decided to make the switch from ZenCart to osCommerce for functionality reasons. I was wondering if there was an easy/basic way of importing my ZenCart database in to my osCommerce database. Basically, I have added over 100+ products into my ZenCart installation and I would hate to manually have to add all of the products over again in my osCommerce installation. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I don't have any advice on doing that, but I will mention that I used OSC from 2002 until this year when I moved my store AWAY from OSC and moved it into Zen Cart. It was the best move I ever made.

Support for the other program pretty much died for several years, and many of the "heavy-hitters" who wrote add-ons moved over here a long time ago. In all fairness, I think that the situation has improved "over there" lately, but I could no longer stay with software that had such sporadic support, especially these days when hackers try to compromise every site they can find.

The Zen Cart developers are always on top of security issues, program improvements, and support. I can't imagine why anyone would move away from Zen Cart.

With Zen Cart, I can be confident that the program will still be supported down the road, and that improvements are always in the works. My livelihood depends on Zen Cart functioning perfectly all the time, and it never lets me down.

I've already posted in both. I was just hoping that there would be someone on the forums that uses both and has gone through the same process.

Using both ZenCart and osCommerce, I know of the pros and cons of using both. I've just had a horrible time getting my SSL to be functional on the ZenCart software, at this point I'm just ready to transfer. With my osCommerce installation I have had zero problems with installing and configuring the SSL.

Before you make that move, maybe you could post here about the SSL problems you're having. I hate to see someone trade his Cadillac in on a Yugo .

Believe me I've spent numerous hours working on this problem to no avail. The ecommerce sites I make really are not all that complex, just basic shopping carts. If I had some crazy mods and addons I would totally stay with ZenCart because I know how great the development for them are.

Yes, but have you gotten fresh, experienced eyes to look at it? Thousands of people do get SSL working fine on ZC...

Have you checked with your host that the Certificate has been installed correctly.
SSL works fine in my zen cart sites

Any SSL problems are a result of either server misconfiguration or addons/customizations that are breaking normal functionality.

But, since you've not shared any of the actual details of your problems, you apparently don't really want any help with it.
