FEC 1.8.4 problems / database

Was using FEC 1.8.1 on 1.3.8a

Went from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9f – fresh install after finding junk left over from all previous upgrades to 1.3.8a. So decided to start fresh with detailed documented steps.

I have completed a fresh installed of 1.3.9f called Demo_1.3.9f with several 3rd party mods (same 3rd party mods as was using on 1.3.8a) with a new database called demo_1.3.9f.

Testing

I added customers, placed orders, USPS autofill, and all mods work as expected.

Database

Then made backup of 1.3.8a database and put a copy in 1.3.9f admin/backups folder. I went to Admin>Tools>My SQL Backup selected the 1.3.8a database and ran restore. After database was restored ran zc_installer to update the 1.3.8a database to 1.3.9f this procedure was successful, version shows 1.3.9f on cart and database also ran the reset session key tool. Next I installed all SQL patches and CSS JS Loader. No error messages have show up.

Testing

When clicking on Login brings up the original zencart Login page, FEC 1.8.4 was not working. I added products to shopping cart then click on Checkout and still original Login. I can login as a customer place product in cart click on check out still on original zencart pages. I can click on “change address” will use the original zencart method.

Database

Click on Admin>Tools>My SQL Backup selected the Demo database and restored. Ran same test on zencart as above and FEC 1.8.4 works.

Problem seems to be in updated Database as if JS Loader is not working.

Where in database can I find and correct what is causing this problem? Please explain in detail on what to do if I need to do something involving the database.
