Address Book Already Populated When Account Created

I'm not sure why this is happening but when I create an account, upon viewing the confirmation screen, there are various addresses already associated with the account. Do you know why that may be?

For example, besides my name and address information, I may see:

Test Name
Test Road
Test, CA 90210

When I delete that newly created account and then create another account, I will get a completely new name and address (or maybe 2 or 3) already populated in that account that was just created.

Any ideas?

That indicates that you've imported a bunch of customers overtop of a database that had customers in it previously, but didn't wipe out the old addresses. Now you've got two sets of data completely jumbled up.
