Images uploading but won't appear

Hello I have 13,000 images in my domain.com/images folder Some of them will not appear. When I go to the directory the sub directories is not showing in the images directory, it won't allow me to add any more images. If I remove all the images/123.jpg then the subdirectories come back and everything works 100% what would cause this?

Directories can only index so many files... When you use ftp and filemanager there are too many in /images to see them all.

You need to sort the 13k images in to sub directories of smaller batches. This will also help your website perform better.

Your hosting company will probably have to help you unless you have WebDisc or similar.
